Domain name life cycle
In different domain zones the domain name life cycle differs. A detailed life cycle of domain names consists of the following periods.
Available - the domain name is available; you can submit a payment and apply for its registration.
Registered – the domain is registered, the duration of the storing the entry in the registry is usually one year, still you can request a longer storing of the entry by paying for several years.
Expired – the domain name renewal has not been made, but the renewal is possible at the current registration price, usually 30 days.
Redemption period - the payment has not been made within the allotted period, but can still be paid and renewed at a price several times higher than the cost of the current registration, usually 30 days.
Pending delete – the registrar retains the registry entry for about additional 5 days, after which the registry entry is deleted and the domain receives the status “available”.
The life cycle in am and հայ zones is 45 days, the redemption and pending delete periods are not provided, the cost of the domain name renewal does not differ from the cost of registration for am and հայ domain names.
Registrars usually remind the domain name holder about the upcoming renewal of the domain name. Two and one month before the completion of the period of the domain name registration in any zone ABCDomain sends а reminder, notifying about the domain name registration deadline, to the e-mail address of the domain name holder and suggests to pay the service price in order to re-register the domain name. Notifications are being sent to the https://internet.am/en/ account email address the domain name is linked to.
After the completed period, warnings are no longer sent.
It is important to note that a similar warning, mainly a prepayment invoice is being presented for the hosting service hosting service, VPS service, SSL certificated 10 days prior to their expiration date.,
